NICHOLAS LYNCH

LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGNER

Nicholas Lynch is an experienced landscape and environmental designer originally from Toronto, Canada. He has designed parks and public spaces around the world, ranging from urban scale concept design to site-specific construction. Prior to joining Terreform ONE, Nick worked at Peter Walker Partners in Berkeley, and James Corner Field Operation’s office in NYC, on such projects as Vancouver’s Northeast False Creek Park, a 40-acre open space project on the waterfront, New York’s High Line Western Railyards, Princeton University campus, Omaha Downtown Park, and Seattle’s central waterfront. He participated in Countryside: the Future exhibition at the Guggenheim, NYC, a project undertaken by OMA/AMO in Rotterdam that focused on the dramatically changing nature of the countryside.

Nick earned his Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy degree from Queen’s University. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Before studying landscape architecture, he launched a small design/build company, integrating traditional construction methods and materials into the practice. He brings a passion for experimental and regenerative materials to his work that inform site-specific designs.
